"Australian dies

An Australian soldier died yesterday in the Repatriation Hospital, Heidelberg, Victoria, from wounds received during operations in Vietnam, it was announced in Canberra last night. He was Private Kenneth Frank Mathieson, 24, single, of Thomastown, Victoria. Private Mathieson received gunshot wounds to the head and arm while serving with 6th Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment, in Phuoc Tuy Province, on March 22.
