1201087 RAPP John Robert 3rd Battalion Royal Autralian Regiment - Killed In Action 20th March 1968 died of gunshot wounds in Phuoc Tuy province.
"Soldier killed, 4 hurt
One Australian soldier was killed and four were wounded in Phuoc Tuy province, South Vietnam, yesterday. Another was accidentally wounded. Private John Robert Rapp, 22, single, of Parramatta, NSW, a member of 3rd Battalion, was killed by enemy fragmentation fire during operation Pinnaroo. Two soldiers wounded in action are Second Lieutenant David Ormond Morgan, 21, single, of Rose Bay, NSW and Private John Ed ward Sanders, 19, single, of Yoeiw Bay, NSW.
