MY TENT MATE

Peter and I were both Queenslanders and met in SVN as members of Delta Company 7RAR when we tented together on SAS Hill and then stayed together right up until his death while I was on R&R back in Australia over the period 10-17 June 1971.

Peter was killed just days after the Battle of Long Khanh.

All the photos I had of Peter I gave to his Sister who was doing her nurse training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and that was done soon after my return from SVN in 1972 and sadly I kept no copies.

50 years is not that long ago and not long enough to forget.
