Harold Williams was the eldest son of William and Sarah (nee Hall) and brother to 7 siblings.
Harold was born in Quorn situated in the Flinders Ranges and it appears that the family moved several times mainly to small country towns.
Harold married Mary Ann (nee Ryan) at Lameroo on the 7th May 1912.
He and Mary had 8 children, (3 died as infants) of his 5 children, 4 sons enlisted and survived the Second World War in both the Army and theRAAF.
Harold Joined in January 1918 and left Australia in June, 1918 not long after his wife Mary had twins born on 30th August 1918 a boy named Gordon and a girl named Effie.
Gordon died on 7th September 1918 and Effie died 5 February 1921.
