My Uncle, Dudley Algeo
Dudley was the brother of my Father. Lloyd Algeo. Their father Ethelbert Algeo was a farmer and I remember him as a very tall and strong man, even in his later years. Dudley served in the Japanese Occupation Forces, as he was too young to enlist early enough to see active service in the Middle East or PNG. Both Lloyd and Dudley went on to be farmers after WW2m and Dudley became an engineer, and worked for Qantas for a long time, in Sydney. I last saw Dudley, with his wife, Betty in the December of 2015, in a nursing home at Tweed Heads. I am proud of the service of my family to the safety and security of not only Australia, but the other countries they protected.
