Aust Service Medal & War Medal (1939-1945).
Upon Leonard's discharge from the Army in 1947, he continued his career in Journalism and Small Business. In the early 1950's Leonard wrote a play entitled "Divided they Fall" about the 1890 shearers strike in Queensland. The play was published and copies are held in the United States Library of Congress, Oxford University UK, Australian National Library and many other prestigeous Universities and Libraries around the world.
Leonard is survived by two sons, five grand children and two great grand children. One of his grandsons served with distinction in Iraq and Afghanistan.
