His parents were Alfred George AUGUSTEN & Agnes Amelia MULLER who married in Queensland on 27th April, 1920

He married Zelda Gladys ZISCHKE on 17th October, 1953 in the Apostolic Cathedral in Hatton Vale, Queensland
