| 24 Jan 1918: | Honoured Military Medal, Battle of Messines, Cpl Rose was awarded the Military Medal (MM) at Messines on 16/17 July 1917 whilst leading a pack of mules carrying material for the Engineers, the dump was heavily shelled, killing one and wounding others.
