Kenneth Douglas Everard
At age 19 Kenneth Douglas Everard enlisted in June 1915. Kenneth was born in North Adelaide in Hyde Park, in May 1896. Both he and his mother worshipped the church of England. He lived there for the rest of his life and worked as a store clerk in the heart of the city. It was unclear whether he continued to work as a store clerk after the war, but as a presumption probably not.
He was a 27th Infantry Battalion, rank private. He served in the war for almost 4 years and was discharged for cessation of hostilities. He was wounded in the shoulder by a bullet and transferred to a France medical hospital where he was treated and returned to the was 8 days later.
He received 3 medals, an enrolment medal, a British war medal and a victory medal.
