The death occurred at the General Hospital just before midnight, on Jan 11th, of Mr. Albert Edward Bell. The deceased, who was in his 43rd year, was a native of Albury Victoria, and for some years past had been a well-known resident of Maryborough. Prior to the late war he had been employed by the Maryborough City Council and at Walkers Limited - shipyards. He enlisted with the 37th Battalion, Machine Gun section, and was afterwards, transferred to the regimental stretcher bearers. He saw about 3 years' active service in France, where he was badly gassed — an affliction, from which he had never totally recovered. Much sympathy will be felt for his bereaved widqw (who only a few weeks ago mourned the loss of her sister. Mrs. J. Telfer), and a young family of three, Ida Grace (12 years). Albert John (10). and Eric Lewis (9). Deceased's parents predeceased him, but he is also survived by four brothers and five sisters, all of whom reside in New South Wales and Victoria.
BELL.—On January 11, 1922, at the Maryborough Hospital, Albert Edward, beloved husband of Hilda Bell, and beloved father of Ida Grace, Albert John, and Eric Lewis Bell—aged 42 years and 5 months.
