Add my storyBiography contributed by St Francis de Sales College
My soldiers name is Adolph John Tiggeman. Tiggeman was a doozie, as he had two known names. His second name was Alfred. Tiggeman was born in 1984, but the exact date is unclear. My soldier was born in Torrensville, South Australia. He was a fireman, who also helped his community through being a loco cleaner.
Tiggeman was a roman catholic, who was single when he first enlisted in the war. When he finally arrived back to Australia at the end of the war, it was the 12th of May 1919.
Aldolf John Tiggeman recieved the 1914/15 Star Medal, British War Medal and the Victory Medal at the end of the war.
Tiggeman passed away on the 16th of October 1967 peacefully with his wife “Liv” by his side. He died in his and Liv’s home at 80 Peney Street, Prospect, South Australia. There are no clear records on how Tiggeman passed, but he died in his early 90s, so he most likely passed away from old age.
