Lance Corporal Graham Bolck (Service No:Q55362) enlisted in the ACMF on 17 April 1942 as a Private with 15 Garrison Battalion. He was promoted to Lance Corporal on 28 September 1943 and served with 1 Garrison Battalion before rejoining 15 Garrison Battalion for Discharge (Essential Industry - Sugar) on 10 May 1945.
Born in 1908 in Rockhampton QLD, Graham was the eldest of four children of Johann (John Henry) Heinrich Bolck (b1870 in Kisdorf, Germany) and Ethel Daphne Phillips (b1880 in London, England). John had immigrated with his parents in 1871, arriving at Keppel Bay, QLD as Assisted Immigrants on board the Lammershagen and Ethel had immigrated with her widowed mother in the mid 1880s, settling in Brisbane QLD where her mother remarried. John (a Labourer) and Ethel (a Book Binder) married in 1909 in Rockhampton, QLD and lived at Bajool where John was a Ganger until the 1930s when the family moved to Yeppoon, QLD and John worked as a Labourer.
Graham worked as a Farmhand in Keppel and was a Labourer at Mt Pelion via Mackay in 1940 when he married Ethel May Senini (b1920 in Mackay, QLD). Graham and Ethel were living at Mt Pelion where Graham was unemployed in 1942 when he enlisted in the ACMF. They settled in Mackay where Graham was a Storeman and a Farmer. By 1967 Graham and Ethel had moved to Melbourne, Victoria where Graham was working as a Tradesman's Assistant and Ethel as a Ward Assistant. Graham died in Bli Bli, QLD in 2003.
