Biography

"Burnt To Death

BRISBANE, August 8.-  Ernest Noel Brazier, 37, former prisoner of war, was burnt to death yesterday while clearing a property at Calliope. He won the block from over 200 applicants in an ex-servicemen's land ballot three months ago. Brazier, who was formerly a share farmer of Wolvi, near Gympie, was found burnt to death by his wife near a burned-out patch of scrub after he had failed to return home for lunch. Brazier, who had erected a tent to house his wife and three young children on the property, had planned to conduct a dairy farm." - from the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin 09 Aug 1949 (nla.gov.au)
