Rat of Tobruk
My Dad was one of the Rats of Tobruk in the siege of Tobruk, Libya.
He also took part in the battle of El Alamein, and fought in New Guinea.
He grew up on the Sunshine coast of Queensland near Nambour.
He married Jean Menhinnitt and had three sons - Kenneth, Robert and Ian.
He lived his last days on the Sunshine coast, Queensland and died in September 1995 at the Greenslopes repatriation hospital.
