He was said to be 24; he was the son of Sarah Elizabeth King, of 168, Priory Rd., Halton, Hastings, England, and the late George William King.
He enlisted with his brother Reginald as their service numbers are consecutive- Reginald was number 44-he survived the Great War and returned to Australia 12 November 1916.
