Was born 22.8.1923 in Proserpine to Sydney Neil Carpenter & Alice May Dray
Brother – Sidney Neil Carpenter also served in the Australian Army.

John was more commonly known as Jack.
He married Elizabeth Rose Bennett (known as Rose) on 26 May, 1948.
They had 3 Children – Linda Maree, John Michael, and Jan Howard.

John went to the Proserpine State School, started his working life at Faust Brothers Grocery Store and worked there all his working life as a shop assistant.
He lived at 27 Faust St, Proserpine.

John Frederick Carpenter died on 28 July, 2009 at the Proserpine Nursing Home.
