Son of Leonorda CASSELLA, Mourilyan, Qld.
Rossario, better known as Ross, served on continuous full-time war service in the Australian Military Forces from 29.5.1942 to 21.6.1946 amounting to 398 days in Australia and 587 days outside Australian in Port Morsby, Rabaul and Bouganville Solomon Islands. He worked in various Transport Units and Works Companies throughout his service.
Ross joined the Griffith RSL Sub Branch on 13 December 1969 and was the last remaining Life Member of the Sub-Branch where he served as a Member of the War Memorial Trust for 32 years culminating in him receiving a long service award from the Minister of Lands Tony Kelly for this service to the community.
