My auntie Corrie
Coralie was my father's sister and thus she was my aunt.
Corrie as she was always known to us, was the daughter of Albert Henry CHRISTENSEN of Maryborough. (see WW1)
Albert enlisted for WW1 in 1916, was wounded seriously in France twice, was rehabilitated in England twice and sent back to the trenches of France each time.
Albert returned to Australia in December 1918.
Albert married Ottibine Berthelsen of Pialba, Hervey Bay. and they had four children.. Brian Bernard QX 45448/Q24887 (my father) who served in PNG, her brother Ivan Errol QX 24921 also enlisted and served in PNG, Corrie enlisted but served only in Australia, and another brother Joe who was too young to enlist.
After the war Corrie married Neil BAYNES and they had one daughter Kaye - all in Maryborough Qld. Unfortunately Neil was killed in a logging accident.
