RICHARD ALDERSON FROST, son of Mr. Richard and Mrs. Bertha Frost, was born at Toowoomba on 17th April, 1888. He was educated at the Toowoomba Grammar School, and entered the service of the Bank at Toowoomba on 25th August, 1905. In February, 1912, he went to Clifton as teller, and in June, 1914, to the Inspector’s Office in Brisbane.
He enlisted on 26th February, 1915, and left Australia as a trooper with the 11th Light Horse Regiment. After serving at Gallipoli from August to November, 1915, he was invalided to England. He rejoined his regiment in Egypt in March, 1916, and served in Palestine and Syria. He received his commission in April, 1917; was promoted to honorary captain and quartermaster in April, 1918, and returned to Australia in September, 1919.
