Son of William John Faux and Lucy Ann Faux nee Hart of Pittsworth, QLD. Brother of William John Faux who returned to Australia on the 5 September 1919 having served with the 31st Battalion, Ellen Dawson Faux and Mary Margaret Faux

Commenced return to Australia on 5 July 1919 aboard HT Port Melbourne disembarking on the 22 August 1919

On 26 July 1941 George married Violet Maud Jarvis in QLD
