Youngest of three brothers who served in WWII, Private Stanley Kerr Evans (Service No:Q138630) enlisted in the ACMF on 16 February 1942, and was posted to General Details Depot. Private Evans served in Moresby (11 July 1943 - 5 July 1944) with 32 and 24 Anti Aircraft Batteries, and in Bougainville (5 January 1945 - 28 November 1945). Private Evans was attached to 38 Australian Works Coy at Discharge on 21 December 1945.

Stan was born at Marmor, QLD in 1914, youngest of three children (sons) of David John Evans (b1882 in Bundaberg, QLD) and Katherine (Katie) Nicol Kerr (b1886 in Bundaberg, QLD). David worked as a Labourer in Mt Perry before he and Katie married in 1907 in Bundaberg, where they settled and raised their family. David was a Miner (Limestone) at Marmor, Mine via Bundaberg until his death in 1915.

Stan worked as a Labourer in Bundaberg, and in 1938 married Eileen Maud Maslen (b1916 in Bundaberg, QLD. By 1941 Stan and Eileen were living in Rockhampton, where Stan was working as a Shop Assistant when he enlisted in the Army in 1942. Following his Diacharge, Stan and Eileen settled in Rockhampton, where they raised theirf amily and Stan worked as a Shop Assistant. Eileen died in 1978 and Stan in 1985.
