George Vaughan Hart FAIRBROTHER was born in Ayr, Scotland on 12th December, 1919
His parents were George Montague Berford FAIRBROTHER & Jane NIMMO who married on 7th May, 1918 in Wallaret, Ayrshire, Scotland
He married Audrey Margaret Norma MOSS in Queensland on 14th December, 1940
He served in the Australian Army and after the war re-enlisted in the regular amy and was discharged on 29th October, 1959 - he was missing and taken as a prisoner of war on 16th February, 1942 when serving in the 2nd 10th Field Regiment and was recovered on 21st September, 1945
George died in Brisbane on 29th December, 1996 - he was buried in Mount Gravatt Cemetery
