Mervyn Michael Freeman - QX23337 - Wooroolin WW11 Honour Board
Mervyn Michael Freeman was born 28 Feb 1919 at Rosewood, Qld the son of William & Mary Freeman and is the cousin of Les Freeman (QX23336). Mervyn enlisted in the Australian Army on 17 Jan 1940 at Rosewood.
He served at the EC Signals Training Depot at the time he was released on 6 Feb 1943. His records are not available on the NAA website as yet so it is difficult to know where he served.
The 1943 Qld electoral rolls show that he was living and working as a labourer at Wooroolin. By 1947 he was back at Rosewood and married Marie Hoffman. They lived in the Rosewood area for the rest of their lives.
Mervyn died in 1993 and is buried at Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery, Willowbank.
