Born 1879, son of George and Jane Wilson. Married Jessie Handley in 1905 and had a daughter Milba in Jan 1908. Enlisted in Jun 1915 at the age of 35. According to Service records and Red Cross Reports he departed Australia in Aug 15 for Galipoli, was promoted CPL in Dec 1915 and reverted to PTE in May 1916 on the Western Front. He was a 'bomber' in C Coy 17th Bn and went out in a party to hold a forward trench captured by a Welsh Bn in Munster Alley near Pozieres on the night of 26 Jul 16 when he was killed. His body was never recovered.
