Folsch Newenham GRANT was born on 22nd October , 1890 in Coffs Harbour , New South Wales

His parents were William Henry GRANT and Frances Anne HAMMERTON who married in 1886 in Balmain, Sydney

He had previous experience in the Coffs harbour Rifle club for 9 months before he enlisted on 24th October 1916 for WW1

He embarked with the 35th Battalion, 7th reinforcements on the HMAT Anchises on 24th January, 1917

Folsch was Killed in Action on 5th April, 1918 in France - no known grave

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Villers Bretonneux Memorial - he was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
