Son of Richard GILL and Jenn nee GRIFFITHS

Reg Gill emigrated to Innisfail, Queensland, Australia in 1928, and joined his two older brothers, sugar cane farming. He was a Signalman with the Australian Army during WWII and served in North Africa and New Guinea. He married his cousin-by-marriage Billie Clarson at Esk, Qld in Apr 1943. He retired from farming due to ill health in 1958. He died from a heart attack at Julia Creek, Qld, away from his home at Innisfail, Qld, and was cremated in Townsville, Queensland. His ashes were scattered at sea.
