Captn Desmond Gleeson

Desmond worked in PNG for Mandate/TAA airlines. On 15 December 1960 whilst flying between Minj & Mendi both Desmond & his passenger a PNG native were both killed.
Desmond was a close friend to my mother who was living in Goroka PNG & returned the only item salvaged from the wreckage (his shoulder epaulet) to his mother in Melbourne.
I am researching as much as I can about Desmond & his life story.
