Robert's life in Maryborough Qld
Robert's demise was caused as a result of an illness he contracted (lung infection) by injesting dirty water into his lungs while swimming in a creek with his brother Percy. He had volunteered for service in WW2 and only found out one of his lungs had shrivelled up after he was diagnosed by Doctors in the Army. He was discharged because of this and went home to marry Nancy Martin and have 3 children. He established a dairy farm in Teddington. He contracted a bad cold/flu and collapsed after milking the cows and died on the way to hospital.
