Fred was the eldest of six children of Joseph Alfred Harrison (b 1882) and Amy Rosina Smith (b1885 in Brisbane, QLD). Joseph (a Labourer) and Amy married in Brisbane in 1911. Joseph worked as a Labourer and Orchardist and the family lived in Bauple, Brisbane and Palmwoods in QLD.
Fred was a Labourer in Palmwoods, Landsborough QLD when he married Myrtle Isobel Gosrsh (b1916 in Brisbane, QLD) in 1934. Fred and Myrtle settled in Nambour where Fred was working as a Truck Driver when he enlisted in the ACMF in December 1941. He was a Private (Service No:12100) attached to LoC Bulk Issue Petroleum and Oil Depot (BIPOD) when he was Discharged in October 1943.
Fred and Myrtle lived in Nambour, Kingaroy, Brisbane and Maroochdore where Fred worked as a Truck Driver and Labourer. He died in 1971 and Myrtle in 1980.
