The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 100,101 + 266. Prior to the war he was a school teacher of Kew Vic. He enlisted 17th Aug 1914 aged 20 years. He served with the 5th Infantry Battalion, earning a Military Medal for his activities. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal. He survived the war, and departed the UK for home 18th Dec 1919.
