Eldest of three brothers who served in WWII, Private Thomas William Jacob Henrickson (Service No:Q207503) served in the ACMF from 17 April 1942 to 10 January 1944 with 10 Battalion (QLD) VDC.
Born in Bundaberg QLD in 1899, Thomas was second of five children of Henry Henricksen (b1873 in South Kolan via Bundaberg, QLD) and Isabella (Bell) McGeary (b1876 in Bundaberg QLD) . Henry was a Labourer on Breusch's Farm in South Kolan via Bundaberg before he and Bell married in 1896 in Bundaberg. They settled in the Bundaberg region - South Kolan and Gooburrum - where they raised their family and Henry was a Labourer.
Thomas worked as a Labourer in Goodoon via Musgrave before marrying Rose Hannah Mackrill (b1904 in Yorkshire, England) in 1926 in Bundaberg. Rose immigrated with her parents and siblings in 1908, arriving in Brisbane on board the Omrah and settling in Bundaberg. Thomas and Rose settled at Moore Park in Gooburrum via Bundaberg, where they raised their family and Thomas was a Labourer. Thomas and Rose both died in 1978 (Thomas in June and Rose in July).
