7 January 1916 - Disembarked at Alexandria

15 March 1916 - Appointed Lance Corporal

25 March 1916 - Proceeded to join BEF from Alexandria

30 March 1916 - Disembarked at Marseilles

23 May 1916 - Promoted to Corporal

10 April 1917 - Promoted to Sergeant

8 November 1917 - To hospital with Bronchitis and Laryngitis

23 August 1918 - Shot in the head while in pursit of German machine gunners in Plateau Wood. He was alone at the time
