Gallipoli
I remember Les very well from when I was a child. He stormed the shores of Gallipoli on the 14th May 1915. He was so eager to get out of the landing craft, he was nearly drowned as the water depth was too deep as he jumped out. Les went through the whole war unscathed and returned to Australia. He was my Great grandfather.
