Private William George Huth (Service No:Q203661) enlisted in the ACMF on 8 April 1942. He served with 5 Battalion VDC (QLD) and was Discharged on 21 April 1945. Private Huth had previously served with the Militia (Service No:127321) from 3 May 1930 to 8 May 1933 and was attached to 26th Battalion.

Born in 1911 in Southport QLD, Bill was the eldest of five children of Wilhelm Robert Carl Huth (b1879 at Pimpama Island, QLD) and Alice Mary Gill (b1883 in Dalby, QLD). Wilhelm (a Labourer) and Alice married in 1910 in Southport, QLD where they settled and raised their family and Wilhelm was a Farmer.

Bill was a Dairy Farmer at Benowa, Southport QLD in 1943 when he married Jean Mary Stewart (b1920 in Southport, QLD). Bill and Jean settled at Benowa, Southport where they raised their family and Bill was a Dairy Farmer. Bill died in 1989 and Jean in 2012.
