Son of James Felix O'Connell and Ellen Catherine O'Connell of Woollahra, NSW
Next of kin given as his grandmother Helen Mary O'Connell of Australia Street, Newtown, NSW.
Commenced return to Australia on 22 January 1920 aboard HT Friedrichsruh disembarking on 28 February 1920 at Fremantle and went AWOL on 2 March 1920. Embarked on another ship to continue onward travel to Sydney.
