Biography contributed by Chris Buckley

Norman was the youngest of four children of Charles Eland Jameson (born 1866 in Ipswich, QLD) and Sarah Jane Butler (born 1874 in Ipswich, QLD). Charles - a Labourer - and Sarah married in Ipswich in 1894.

In 1922 the NSW Police Gazette requested information on behalf of Minnie Mundt about Norman's whereabouts - he had last been known to be working in a coal mine in Bundanba, Ipswich, QLD. In 1923 Norman was a Miner at Murwillumbah, NSW when he married Doris Augusta Eggins (born 1906 at MacLean, NSW). In 1940 Norman and Dorothy were living at Fingal, NSW where Norman was a Foreman (Mineral Mining). He enlisted in the AMF in 1941 and served in New Guinea with the Australian New Guinea Administrative Unit (Service No:QX22705). He was a Warrant Officer II when he was Discharged in December 1945.

Norman returned to NSW and work in the Mining Industy, and he and Dorothy separated in 1947. Norman was working in Brisbane, QLD in 1958 when he married Violet May Moon (nee Alldridge, born 1906 in Stanthorpe, QLD). Violet was working as a Barmaid at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane, QLD. Norman and Violet moved to Cribb Island - Norman worked as a Linesman and Violet as a Domestic. Norman died in 1967 and Violet in 1973.
