Lars was the fourth of six children of Anders Peter Larsen (aka Peter, born 1856 in Sweden) and Anna (Annie) Andersen (born 1856 in Sweden). Peter and Annie married in 1873 in QLD and lived in the Barcaldine Region, Howard in Wide Bay, QLD and on the Darling Downs in QLD. Peter was a Labourer and a Farmer.
Lars was a Farmer at Upper Tenthill on the Darling Downs in 1926 when he married Alice Maud Budd (born 1880 in Somerset, England) in Ipswich, QLD. Lars and Alice lived at Upper Tenthill on the Darling Downs, where Lars was a Farmer until 1919, when they moved to Maryborough and Lars became an Evangelist. In 1942 Lars was a Clergyman on the Darling Downs in QLD when he enlisted in the CMF. He served as Chaplain (Service No:Q140949) with 5 Motor Regiment and was Discharged in 1943. Younger brother Neil (Sapper, Driver;Service No:1034) served in WWI.
Lars and Alice lived on the Darling Downs, at Marburg and at Bulimba in QLD, where Lars was a Clergyman until he died in 1965. Alice died in 1974.
