Ralph Anzac leddy followed in his older brother William Francis Leddy who served in WW1.My mother Donna Debo was raised by her Grandmother Agnes Leddy Ralph's sister. My mother told me that Ralph was soft spoken Gentleman who walked with a terrible limp he died at age 55 the Leddy family paid a huge toll two brothers and 4 brother in laws as well cousins and nephews.Rip Great Uncle I followed in your steps serving in Iraq and the Solomon Island I'll see you soon

My mother, Janet, was the younger sister of Ralph Anzac Leddy. Known by me as Uncle Anzac, my mother said he was shot landing at Papua New Guinea, his best friend pulled him onto the beach thereby saving him from drowning. After the war the same friend helped my Uncle build a home on Barbie Island. As a result of his war injuries Uncle Anzac was crossed legged, post war opportunitie were limited but he found employment in a soap making factory. I only met my Uncle once, I wish I had more time with him
