Corporal Norman Marsh (Service No:Q124800) enlisted in the ACMF on 9 February 1942. He was attached to 7 Training Battalion when he was Discharged on 30 June 1942. Corporal Marsh served in WWI - Private (Service No:5073) with 26 Infantry battalion and was awarded the Military medal in 1918 for his bravery at the Battle of Mont St Quentin near Peronne.

Born in 1895 in Laidley, QLD, Norman Long Marsh was the first child of Edith Sophia Maud Marsh (b1876 in Gatton, QLD). In 1898 Edith married Henry Octavius Head (b1872 in Ipswich, QLD) - Henry was a Farmer at Blenheim in Laidley QLD. Edith and Henry had eight children together.

Norman worked as a Farmer at Blenheim in Laidley, QLD and in 1923 married Eva Grace Randall (b1901 in Laidley, QLD). Norman and Edith lived in Laidley and Gatton where Norman was a Labourer and Fruiterer before moving to Brisbane in the early 1950s where Norman was a Labourer. They retired to Victoria Point, Cleveland where Norman died in 1973 and Eva in 1980.
