Benjamin Horace HECKSCHER was born on 29th October, 1889 in Gympie, Queensland 

His parents were Benjamin HECKSCHER and Annie CLANCY

He enlisted on 11th December, 1915 in Warwick and embarked from Sydney on 5th June, 1916 on the HMAT Borda with the 42nd Infantry Battalion, C Company

Benjamin was Killed in Action on 10th June, 1917 and is buried in Bethleem Farm East Cemetery
