One soldier and two airmen were killed in a Jeep accident on the Townsville - Ingham road near the town of Yubula in Queensland on the 3rd of June 1951 with RAAF Sergeant Mervyn Edward Taylor A5898 seriously injured in the incident.  Killed were:
