Vincent was the youngest of 9 children of John Jospeh McNamara and Emma Matilda Miles, and was a Textile Worker in Ipswich QLD. Vincent enlisted in the Australian Army on 15 January 1940 and served as a Private (Service No: QX40536/Q18898) with 25 Battalion. Private McNamara took his Discharge on 25 October 1944.
Vincent returned to Ipswich QLD, married Gladys Elizabeth Richards and continued employment as a Textile Worker
