A Leader with humour
Eric was the CO 3 RAR driver in Korea and he told me during battle (Kapong) he was under the jeep and was shooting at the ankles of the Chinese as they ran past.
Years later when Eric was attending the WOs Refresher Course (WO1) 1966 at Inf centre Ingleburn I was in the Sgts Mess and he stated that he was given a dress down.
He was attending a GPMG lesson as a student when RSM Gnr Stevens asked the question, Define the definition of a cook-off,? Eric answered WO Caterer on leave.
Just a few of the many stories from a great soldier God Bless.
