Private Albert Arthur Moeri (Service No:Q202659) served in the ACMF from 14 April 1942 to 21 October 1945 with 4 and 2 Battalions (QLD) VDC.

Albert was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1905, youngest of two children of Emil Moeri (b1880 in Switzerland) and Jessie Ann Robb (b1878 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland). Emil (a Hotel Porter) and Jessie (a Dressmaker) married in 1905 in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, and immigrated in 1912, arriving in Brisbane with their two sons on board the Perthshire. Emil and Jessie settled in Brisbane, where they raised their family and Emil - a member of the Stonehenge Lodge of the United Order of Druids - worked as a Labourer.

Albert completed an apprenticeship as an Electrical Mechanic, and was an Electrician in 1940 when he married Ellen (Hazel) Taylor (b1909 in Brisbane, QLD) - Hazel was working in Brisbane as a Milliner. Albert and Hazel settled in Brisbane, where they raised their family and Albert was an Electrician. Hazel died in 1954 and Albert in 1989.
