Private Edward Thomas Molloy (Service No:Q121427) enlisted in the ACMF on 8 January 1942 and was attached to Bulk Issue Petrol and Oil Depot (BIPOD) when he was Discharged on 14 October 1943. He had served previously in the Militia with 2nd Light Horse Regiment.
Born in 1906 in London England, Teddy was the third of eight children of Edward Thomas Molloy Snr (b1880 in London, England ) and Gertrude May Blogg (b1882 in Norfolk, England). Edward Snr was a Packing Case Maker in London in 1901 when he and Gertrude married, and in 1908 the couple with their three children arrived in Brisbane, QLD on board the Ormuz. Edward and Gertrude settled in Bundaberg, QLD where Edward was a Carpenter prior to enlisting in WWI. Following his death in 1919, Gertrude raised the children in Brisbane, QLD.
Teddy worked as a Motor Driver and Storeman in Brisbane, and in 1930 married Doris (Dot) May Lea (b1908 in laidley on the Darling Downs, QLD). Teddy and Dot settled in Brisbane where Teddy worked as a Storeman, Driver and Insurance Agent. Teddy died in 1972 and Dot in 1977.
