Biography contributed by Daryl Jones

Forrester Muir lived at Ravenshoe, Queensland with his mother and sisters until after her passing in 1945, and Agnes is the last to marry, as she is still there in 1949. He is last seen there in the 1958 Australian Electoral Roll.

He next appears in the 1960 New Zealand Electoral Roll as a service station attendant, living in The Glen, Hira, near Nelson, with Irene Louise Muir, who is a nursing sister.
By 1963, they are living at Guthrie Road, Havelock North, and he is a storeman, she is a housewife.
In 1969 they are living at Charles St, Hastings and he is a hospital orderly. Irene is now listed as married.
By 1972, they are both still at Charles St, but Forrester is retired. This is where they were living at his death in 1984. Irene moved to Blenheim where her daughter Nerissa lived, where she died in 1987.
Her ashes were scattered in New Plymouth.
