Lance Corporal Henry Morton Munt (Service No:QX31729) enlisted in the Australian Army on 21 April 1942. He was attached to 1 Employment Coy when he was Discharged on 20 December 1943. Son Morton (Service No:425874) and daughter Noreen (Service No:268026) also served in WWII.

Born in 1903 in Dallarnil in Biggenden QLD, Henry was the youngest of ten children of William James Munt (b1859 in Oxfordshire, England) and Eliza Jane Morton (b1864 in County Cavan, ireland). Eliza arrived in QLD in 1864 on board the Young England and William arrived in Brisbane, QLD in 1874 on board the Alexandra. William (a Farmer) and Eliza married in 1883 in Laidley on the Darling Downs in QLD. The couple lived in Laidley until the mid 1890s when they moved their family to Bundaberg and then Gin Gin before settling in Dallarnil nr Biggenden in the early 1900s. William was a Farmer and first Chairman of the Dallarnil State School Committee.

Henry was a Farmer in Dallarnil QLD all his working life. In 1923 in Biggenden, QLD he married Gladys Catherine Spencer (b1900 in Tyrone, QLD) and the couple settled in Dallarnil where they raised their family and Henry was a Farmer. In 1968 Henry and Gladys retired to Pialba, QLD before moving to Maryborough where Henry died in 1989. Gladys died in 1992.
