Biography

Medals: 1914/15 Star, Bristish War Medal, Victory Medal

"...179 Private Henry Richard Alfred Pix, A Squadron, 9th Light Horse Regiment, 3rd Light Horse Brigade, of Melbourne, Vic. Pte Pix enlisted at Port Lincoln on 11 September 1914 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Armadale on 12 February 1915. On 6 November 1915 at Gallipoli Pix was promoted to Lance Corporal (L Cpl). L Cpl Pix was killed in action in the Canal Zone, Egypt on 23 December 1916 aged 25 years. In 1919 his remains were exhumed and re-interred in the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery in Egypt." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)

 

"IN THE ESTATE of HENRY RICHARD ALFRED PIX Deceased.— PURSUANT to "The Trustee Act 1893" NOTICE is hereby given that all persons having Claims against the Estate of HENRY RICHARD ALFRED PIX late of Port Lincoln in the State of South Australia Laborer and a member of His Majesty's Imperial Forces on active service in Egypt deceased who died on the 2nd day of December 1916 having been killed in action at war and whose Will was proved in the Supreme Court of South Australia on the 11th day of June 1917 by Charles John Whillas of Port Lincoln aforesaid Farmer the sole executor therein name, are REQUIRED to send their names addresses and full particulars of their Claims to the undersigned Solicitors for the said executor on or before the 1st day of DECEMBER 1917 after which date the said executor will proceed to distribute the estate of the said deceased amongst the persons entitled thereto   having regard only to the Claims of which he shall then have notice.
