Percy James GODLINGTON was born in Cambridge, England in 1892

His parents were William Harry GODLINGTON & Florence LEGGETT

He enlisted in Melbourne on 5th November, 1915 & embarked with the 6th Infantry Battalion, 14th Reinforcements from Melbourne on the HMAT Themistocles on 28th January, 1916

Percy was Killed in Action at Pozieres in France on 16th August, 1916 - he had no known grave until 1930's when his body was located and reburied in the London Cemetery & Extension

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
