Walter's parents were Edward Peachy and Charlotte Brown. His occupation when he enlisted on the 28 September, 1918 was a farmer. He enlisted very late in the war and did his basic training at Enoggera Barracks along with his rifle and marksmanship training. Although he was not posted to a unit as reinforcement he was posted to "B" Company. The war finished before Walter could be posted overseas. In the 1919 electoral rolls Walter is living at Samsonvale with his wife Eleanor. He enlisted in World War II and was discharged December 1945.
